Project Name: U.S. Senate Project

Project Length: 2002 - Present

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is a leader in providing information technology, systems engineering, professional services, simulation and training to a variety of customers. Their client base includes government divisions such as federal, civilian, state and local and the commercial sector with specialization in defense, intelligence, homeland security and health related fields.

As a primary team member since 2002, Interstate Logistics manages and facilitates GDIT's supply chain management for the U.S. Senate. The program includes management of all computer-related equipment for every U.S. Senators' office in the country. This equates to approximately 70,000 assets annually.

Interstate's project distribution center, based in Springfield, VA, is staffed by logisticians who handle and process these electronic assets each day. Assets received into this facility are handled in an organized, efficient manner to meet time sensitive deadlines with real time inventory system updates 24/7. All required inspections, tagging, staging for custom order installation, burn in and testing are conducted upon receipt. After orders are assembled, packaged and prepared, they are transported for guaranteed, on-time delivery. Twice daily and 'as needed,' Interstate coordinates service to Capitol Hill. They are also responsible for all equipment technology that supports nationwide Senate offices.

Interstate has proudly achieved a 99%+ performance record for task completion of all deliveries. This performance has been unmatched by any other service provider and has been maintained throughout the tenure of the contract.
