Transportation Operational Personal Property Standards System (TOPS)

Project Name:
Defense Personal Property Program (DP3)

Project Length: 1985 - Present

The Department of Defense (DoD) created the Transportation Operational Personal Property Standards System (TOPS) program to manage the moves of military personnel domestically and internationally. The DoD introduced the Defense Personal Property Program (DP3) to improve these systems to provide a better quality of service for scheduling and tracking through use of innovative technology.

Interstate International’s main role is to provide comprehensive move management services for military personnel and their families. For over 25 years, Interstate has worked with the DoD to create a tailored move management program that includes a pre-move assessment, coordination of pack/load dates for household goods, the transportation of these goods and delivery to the identified destination. Interstate offers an in-transit tracking system with 24/7 access that enables shipment tracking from origin to point of destination.

Interstate successfully moves thousands of military families on an annual basis, and has been recognized numerous times, including nine time winner of the prestigious NDTA Quality Award for exemplary service to DoD service members and personnel.
