The Interstate Family of Companies — ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The ISO 9001:2008 standard is an internationally recognized management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standards.

  • Recognized worldwide, ISO 9001:2008 standard was established for all companies and organizations regardless of mission, industry, nationality, size, ownership or any other designation.
  • Since its inception in 1987, less than 5% of the companies in the world, and less than 1% of all companies in the United States have been registered as ISO compliant, signifying that they have met the stringent audit requirements of a third party ISO authorized registrar. These audits are continuous and ongoing in order to maintain certification and registration.
  • In the entire relocation industry in the United States, less than one company in 1,000 has been ISO registered. Interstate is proud to be one of those companies, having been registered in August 2000, by the largest registrar in the world, the British Standards Institution, Inc.

ISO 9001:2008 registration is rapidly becoming a prerequisite for doing business in many industries throughout the world. Even today, discriminating buyers are requiring suppliers and service providers to be ISO certified.

Benefits of ISO Certification:

  • Improved productivity and efficiency, leading to significant cost reductions.
  • Higher customer satisfaction, due to greater consistency of products and services.
  • Improved employee job satisfaction — resulting from employees knowing exactly what is expected.
  • A stronger framework for continuous quality improvement.
