INTERSTATE HONORS FALLEN SOLDIERS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SPRINGFIELD, VA, December 11, 2015 – Interstate Group Holdings, Inc. (MoveInterstate.com), one of the region’s most trusted relocation, moving, and logistics companies, is proud to announce its involvement in  Wreaths Across America’s annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on December 12.

Wreaths Across AmericaInterstate is proud to support Wreaths Across America’s sacred tradition of honoring our fallen soldiers and their families,” says Interstate’s President Arthur E. (Bud) Morrissette, IV. “It is very important to us to show our respect and to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country,” adds Morrissette.

This year, Wreaths Across America and America’s trucking industry are expected to haul 248,000 wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery through the volunteer efforts of 73 truck drivers. One of the drivers is Interstate’s Chuck Corbin, a U.S. Army veteran, who eagerly volunteered to donate his time to haul a load of 2,560 wreaths from Columbia Falls, Maine, to Arlington National Cemetery for delivery on Saturday.  Beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Interstate’s headquarters in Springfield, Virginia, will serve as the staging area to clear the 73 tractor-trailers of the wreath packing debris, and separate the cardboard, plastic wrap and wood skids to be recycled through International Paper Corporation. Interstate has partnered with Paxton Atlas to support the Recycling Dock Operation. In addition, dozens of Interstate Team members will be amongst the expected 50,000 volunteers placing wreaths on gravesites Saturday.

Interstate’s involvement in Wreaths Across America is only part of a nationwide event that will place over 900,000 remembrance wreaths at the gravesites of fallen service men and women at veterans’ cemeteries across the U.S.
