COVID-19 has prompted new travel requirements around the world – and, in many cases, further complicating international travel.
Current CDC guidance does not recommend international travel for those who are not vaccinated. If you are traveling overseas, know that COVID-19 vaccination, testing, masking and social distancing requirements vary and can change at any time. Regardless of your destination, we encourage you to bring proof of vaccination – your CDC-issued vaccine card, along with digital photos and photocopies of your card – and, if required, coronavirus test results.
Our best advice is to check the official government websites for the countries you are planning to travel through and to, particularly as your travel date approaches.

How do I move my possessions to another country?
Moving abroad comes with its own unique set of requirements. The most common way to move belongings to another country is by shipping them via sea, though air freight is also an option for your international move. Your Relocation Manager will help you inventory items and provide guidance on what should move and what shouldn’t, as well as helping to determine the method of shipment. We’ll then help pack items in a specific freight container designed to withstand the elements.
How much does it cost to ship furniture to another country?
The cost depends on multiple factors including the number of items you’re transporting, the weight, the method of shipment, as well as the overall distance your items are moving. The best way to know the shipping cost is to discuss your specific needs with your Relocation Manager.
Is it worth shipping furniture overseas?
Short answer: it’s up to you! If your personal belongings are important to making your overseas residence feel more like a home, then by all means, ship them! If all you’re moving overseas is family heirlooms, antiques and must-have pieces, then consider purchasing more items when you get to your destination.
